Spring welcomes the Piping Plover breeding season here on Prince Edward Island. This species is at risk and cannot survive without a safe, healthy beach habitat where they can breed, rest, and feed.

They thrive in our Dune ecosystems, so please keep an eye out for their fragile nesting areas. For more info, check out the extensive work Island Nature Trust has been doing to protect Natural Areas on Prince Edward Island since 1979!
